Indonesia Aid Gaza on 80th Independence Day

The Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully conducted a humanitarian aid mission to the Gaza Strip, Palestine on the occasion of Indonesia’s 80th independence anniversary. This mission was a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Defense, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Alms Agency (Baznas). Two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft departed from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan, to drop aid supplies over Gaza before safely returning to the forward operating base. Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, stated that the mission proceeded smoothly without major obstacles. The aid packages included essential supplies like food, medical equipment, blankets, and items for children, showcasing Indonesia’s commitment to international humanitarian solidarity under President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership. The success of this mission on the nation’s independence anniversary was celebrated as a moment of national pride, highlighting Indonesia’s active role in global peace efforts. Yulianto expressed that this achievement was a historic milestone and a special gift for Indonesia on its Independence Day.
