Skateboarding is growing rapidly in Indonesia, but there are still not many competitions. To attract talented skateboard athletes, the Skatepark Takeover competition was held at Bash Skatepark, Jakarta on Saturday (11/1/2025) under the theme “Start with a Bang!”. This event not only featured skateboarding competitions but also musical performances. The aim of the event was to bring together the skateboard community, cultural trendsetters, and music lovers under one roof to celebrate the creativity, movement, and spirit of young people.

Skatepark Takeover provided an opportunity for both new and professional skaters to showcase their skills, creativity, and performance. Participants, aged 14 to 24, both male and female, from the Jabodetabek area were welcomed to join. According to Erisa Putriyanita, Senior Brand Marketing Manager of Airwalk Indonesia, “Start With a Bang is more than just a regular event – it is a statement. This event brings together the skateboard community, cultural trendsetters, and music lovers under one roof to celebrate the creativity, movement, and spirit of young people.”
