President Prabowo Subianto has recently appointed General Tandyo Budi as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). In addition, he has also installed new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, brigade commanders, and Territorial Development Battalions, with a total of 20, 6, and 100 respectively. During the appointment, Prabowo also awarded the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor to soldiers who have shown remarkable integrity.
Prabowo emphasized the importance of leaders, stating that they must lead from the front. He highlighted the responsibility of military leaders to protect their soldiers in dangerous situations by being at the forefront. He rejected the idea of leaders staying behind the lines and stressed that they must set an example for their troops.
Further, Prabowo urged military leaders to treat and train their troops with care and nurture them like their own children. He emphasized the role of leaders in guiding and supporting their subordinates while also emphasizing the importance of training without cruelty.
