President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently welcomed General Bryan Patrick Fenton, Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The meeting was cordial as both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing defense cooperation between the two countries. General Fenton presented President Prabowo with the USSOCOM Honor Medal as a token of appreciation for his leadership and dedication in strengthening U.S.-Indonesia defense relations, particularly in special operations. The General praised President Prabowo for his visionary leadership in fostering bilateral defense ties and international collaboration, especially in areas of counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security. Accompanying President Prabowo were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya during the meeting.
