Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo recently visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta to oversee the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program’s implementation. This nationwide initiative, launched simultaneously in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens, is a direct reflection of President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to the health of young Indonesians. Minister Dito highlighted the program’s alignment with the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ vision under the Asta Cita development framework, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the physical fitness of the Indonesian population. The collected data from the CKG program will play a crucial role in shaping policies that promote healthy lifestyles among students, ensuring early detection and timely intervention for health issues. The visit was attended by officials from the Ministry of Health, the Presidential Communication Office, and notable athletes like Veddriq Leonardo and Bellaetrix Manuputty.
During the program at SMKN 26 Jakarta, 131 tenth-grade students underwent health screenings, with a goal to examine a total of 1,600 students over the next few days. The screenings include assessments of height, weight, nutritional status, blood pressure, physical fitness, dental and eye health, as well as screenings for tuberculosis and mental well-being. Students actively participated in the activities, engaging in educational sessions on clean and healthy living habits. The national launch of CKG Sekolah was simultaneously carried out at 12 educational institutions across Indonesia, aiming to reach 53.8 million students and promote promotive and preventive care as part of President Prabowo’s healthcare reform vision.
Since its phased rollout in February 2025, the CKG program has already benefited over 16 million people nationwide. By expanding its reach, the government aims to ensure equal access to healthcare services and work towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
