President Joko Widodo announced that the government’s Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has gained international attention and is being discussed in global diplomatic forums. The program, aimed at schoolchildren, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, has been running successfully and attracting interest from other countries. As of July 2025, the MBG program has reached over six million beneficiaries, primarily children and pregnant women. President Widodo expressed confidence that the number of beneficiaries will continue to grow rapidly, with a target of reaching 20 million beneficiaries by the end of August 2025. The MBG program plays a key role in combating malnutrition, supporting local food producers, promoting social equity, and contributing to long-term nation-building initiatives.
