Prabowo Welcomes Brazilian President’s Plan to Bring Business Leaders to Indonesia

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring a significant number of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia. This statement was made after a productive bilateral meeting between Prabowo and Lula at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília. Prabowo warmly welcomed the idea of hosting Brazilian businesspeople in Indonesia, highlighting the potential for enhanced cooperation between the two countries in trade and investment.

During their meeting, Prabowo emphasized the shared interests and vast opportunities for economic collaboration between Indonesia and Brazil, given their large populations and abundant natural resources. He acknowledged the existing cooperation agreements between the two nations and stressed the importance of translating them into tangible outcomes. Prabowo also commended Brazil’s achievements in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s interest in learning from Brazil’s experiences in these fields.

Furthermore, Prabowo appreciated President Lula’s support for Indonesia’s plan to send more technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations and agricultural technologies. This exchange of knowledge and expertise would benefit both countries significantly. In addition to his visit to Brasília, Prabowo attended the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where he further discussed cooperation and partnership with Brazil. President Lula is expected to visit Indonesia in October, and preparations are underway for a special celebration to mark his 80th birthday in Jakarta.
