He stressed the importance of energy independence in Indonesia’s pursuit of national sovereignty, revealing plans to initiate 55 new renewable energy projects, including geothermal power plants, to ensure the distribution of clean, reliable, and efficient energy throughout the archipelago. The President praised the collaboration between ministries, regulatory bodies, and energy companies like Medco Energi and ExxonMobil in supporting Indonesia’s energy transition. While recognizing the country’s significant oil and gas reserves, Prabowo underscored the significance of renewable energy, particularly solar power, in guaranteeing community energy self-sufficiency across Indonesia.
