William Nyarondia Morwabe from Kenya emerged as the champion of the AirAsia RedRun 2025 half marathon category, covering 21 kilometers. The event took place in Nusa Dua, Bali on Sunday morning. Starting strong from the waving flag, William secured the first spot at the finish line, earning himself a prize of Rp 12 million. The total prize pool for AirAsia RedRun 2025 was Rp 232 million, with the biggest share going to the HM open category winner.
Aside from the HM category, AirAsia RedRun 2025 also featured two other categories: 10K and 5K, with start times from 05:15 WITA. The 5K category attracted the most participants out of the 5,000 total runners in the event.
From professional athletes to beginners, thousands of runners added vibrancy to the spirited atmosphere, enjoying various entertainment acts such as music performances from Salon R&B, Berlari Berdendang, and the Fun Team AirAsia. Participants expressed their delight in being able to take part in the event, combining the thrill of running with the beauty of the Nusa Dua surroundings in Bali.
One Australian participant, Shae, who joined the 10K category, shared her thoughts on the inaugural AirAsia RedRun 2025 in Indonesia. She expressed, “AirAsia RedRun 2025 in Bali was a delightful experience for me. The track was comfortable with no steep inclines, allowing us to reach the finish line faster. The route was scenic, the atmosphere was lively, and the organization was well-managed. It was more than just a running event; it was a truly memorable running experience. I will definitely be back next year.”
