Indonesian Diaspora in Middle East Optimistic about Prabowo

President Prabowo Subianto’s recent visit to Middle Eastern countries such as Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt in early April 2025 has stirred optimism and high hopes among members of the Indonesian diaspora, including students. The Indonesian community in Turkey, represented by Maulidya Nur Islami, expressed pride and happiness at the President’s visit, believing it to be a significant step towards strengthening relations between the two countries. Likewise, Muhammad Munirudin and Muhammad Syarif were appreciative of Prabowo’s personal attention and direct engagement with them during the visit, anticipating closer collaboration between Indonesia and Turkey in the future. In Qatar, Rifki Nur Muzaki conveyed enthusiasm on behalf of the Indonesian community, foreseeing the visit as a source of inspiration to continue representing Indonesia with pride. The Indonesian diaspora in Egypt also embraced Prabowo’s visit, voicing confidence in its potential to enhance educational opportunities for Indonesian students in the country. Overall, members of the diaspora in these nations expressed their support and best wishes for Prabowo as he embarks on his leadership journey. As of April 9, President Prabowo has embarked on official visits to various Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt.
