Bandung – The presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, attended the national declaration event of the Indonesian United Muslim Movement Love for the Nation (Gempita) at the Grand Sudirman Ballroom, Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (27/12).
In his political speech, Prabowo emphasized that the public should be cautious towards leaders who often make promises, especially in the ongoing political year in Indonesia.
“We do not want wealth to be enjoyed only by a handful of Indonesian people. We already have an implementation map, not just a map of fantasies or empty promises,” Prabowo asserted.
Therefore, he used the metaphor ‘all talk’ or ‘omdo’ for politicians who often make promises just to achieve their goals.
“The people of Eastern Indonesia call it ‘all talk, just talk.’ When we hear promises, especially during the political season once every 5 years, many promises are not fulfilled,” Prabowo said.
“There’s a song about it, do you remember the lyrics? ‘A thousand promises as tall as a mountain,'” he continued while singing.
To achieve prosperity, Prabowo stated that he will gather great people in Indonesia to contribute their thoughts and experiences in building the nation together.
“And, I am willing to seek and invite anyone who wants to contribute their thoughts, experiences, and technology they have for the welfare of the nation,” Prabowo stated.
Meanwhile, Prabowo also mentioned the downstream program, which is one of his flagship programs together with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“The only candidate pair who dares to talk about downstream, sorry, it’s only candidate pair number 2, right? Mr. Gibran, who is called an inexperienced young man, right? He’s nothing, just because he is Jokowi’s son, he is insulted and ridiculed. Actually, in my opinion, if I were a teacher and had to give a grade, I would give a 9.9.
